Job Description

VIPRE Security, a brand of Ziff Davis, develops cybersecurity products focused on endpoint protection and email security together with advanced threat intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Review product, feature, design specifications
  • Define stories, create test plan
  • Develop manual test cases
  • Strive to automate wherever possible
  • Help stakeholders in their estimation
  • Participate in sprint plannings, etc
  • Perform functional and non-functional tests, system and end-to-end testing.
  • Write clear and concise bug reports and help developers to narrow down issues
  • Proactively work towards improving product and processes
  • Coordinates to stakeholders, developers and meeting key dates, project milestones and progress reports.

Experience:

  • Education and/or Certification Requirements BA/BS in CS or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and working experience in Software QA processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in working in agile software development environment
  • Having test automation and/or programming experience
  • Comfortable in at least one of the technologies or similar tools for software testing:
    • Frameworks: Appium, Robot Framework, PyTest
    • Programming/Scripting Languages: e.g. Python, Bash, Powershell
  • Experience of working in an agile development environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of different levels of testing (Unit, integration, acceptance, etc.)
  • Understanding of different layers of the software like backend, API, UI, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in testing apps in different desktops and mobile operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Docker containers and/or virtualized test environments e.g. VM/ware/VirtualBox, Amazon, Azure, Google Cloud virtual machines
