The Senior Business Analyst is a key member of the Supplier Operations Systems & Data team, leveraging analysis skills to help drive compliance and supply chain efficiencies.

The Analyst role will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to improve decision making related to Supplier Operations within Nordstrom Supply Chain and Inventory Operations. The ideal candidate should have a high degree of curiosity about the business and the skills to discover impactful insights from data and communicate those insights in a way that builds confidence and enables decisions that drive business value.

A day in the life...

  • Own and lead analysis for projects within the Supplier Operations team and in collaboration with other business units

  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to provide data inputs and actionable insights for weekly, monthly and quarterly Supplier Operations performance metrics

  • Evaluate business challenges and apply appropriate tools and methodologies to achieve desired outcomes

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for compliance related data, metrics and reporting

  • Support performance analysis and diagnosis of supplier-related issues, identifying root causes and actionable solutions

  • Source and prepare data to support the creation of Tableau dashboards and other data visualization tools

  • Collaborate with the Data Analyst to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data

  • Ensure compatibility between processes and systems and data

  • Design and execute detailed plans to provide meaningful insights that inform strategic decision-making

  • Identify complex problems, analyze root causes, and assess the potential impact to the business

You own this if you have…

  • BA/BS in Business, supply chain, a related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience

  • 4-6 years of BA experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills – both verbal and written

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Experienced in data validation and ensuring data integrity

  • Experience with or willing to learn SQL and Tableau is a plus
