Job Description
This position is responsible for inventory management for milk and milk-related products to ensure internal production needs and customer expectations are met.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage supply and movement of milk, skim, cream, and whey products.
- Maintaining accurate on-hand inventories, understanding plant capabilities and run rules, customer orders/contracts/agreements.
- Participating in purchases and sales of milk and other products.
- Making on-the spot decisions, sometimes with limited information, to achieve the best outcomes.
- Enter accurate and timely information into systems.
- Respond outside of normal working hours (evenings & weekends).
- Develop and maintain business relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in logistics or related field of study, or some college coursework.
- 3-5 years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field of study.
