About the job
Provides operational support through quality assurance workflow analysis. Performs workflow analysis/ performance/quality/audit reviews for operational areas such as Underwriting. Measures opportunities through operations review processes or monitors workflow activities. Interacts with various levels of management to communicate quality findings and recommend solutions to continuous process improvement. Advanced roles identify training/education strategies.
Collaborates with business partners to establish and execute a comprehensive audit and file review in Insurance Underwriting.
Responding to written consumer complaints.
Conducts audits on to include trend identification, analysis, summaries of results and recommendations.
Ensures calibration of scoring enabling leaders to deliver consistent performance feedback to business partners.
Provides root cause analysis to clarify audit results and recommends consistent process improvements.
Analyzes audit results to drive the development of enhanced programs and processes.
Identifies, facilitates and communicates recommendations on improvement regarding processes and other quality related information.
Monitors adherence to internal control requirements.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
Solid knowledge of planning tools, quality tools, preventive and feedback actions, and how to recommend quality improvements.
Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance products, pricing, claim, or underwriting concepts. May focus in areas of specialty.
Solid knowledge and understanding of business analytics and/or mathematical concepts.
Demonstrated experience using PC software applications (Excel or Power BI).
Demonstrated ability to implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
Demonstrated experience in successfully mentoring & training others in process improvement techniques.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10%.
In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location (or 35-mile radius for Boston / Chicago).
